DeAndre Perryman, a native of E. St. Louis, Illinois, won national acclaim after appearing on Season 4 of American Idol and in 2006, he was named The Best R&B Artist by popular entertainment publication, The Riverfront Times. Singer/songwriter DeAndre Perryman has what it takes! Before becoming a solo artist, Perryman sang in a quartet dubbed Odyssey. Though short-lived, his experience in the group allowed him to hone his craft. In 2002, he made his first run at American Idol fame, beating out 9 thousand local contestants. He was cut before the show started but he used the opportunity to continue grooming his skills. Two years later, he became a household name nationally after making it to the top 25 on Season 4 of Idol. He is also the reigning winner of the McDonald’s sponsored R&B Soul Search. Blessed with a flawless voice and impeccable stage presence, Perryman is staying busy, spreading his independent music. He captivated audiences as a featured performer as opening act for J Records' Tyrese in 2007-08, as part of the VH1 Soul Tour, turned around and was picked up for the Grown and Sexy Tour with Ginuwine, and Tank 2008-09.
